Facilities:
- We train over 250 Hairdressing Apprentices every year in state-of-the-art facilities at our salons in Telford, Wolverhampton and Worcester.
- In recent years we have invested £8 million in the Construction facilities and equipment at our Wellington Road campus
- We have a state-of-the-art culinary training classroom, The Academy Restaurant and Bakery, run by the students and open to the public.
- We have invested £13m in a state-of-the-art Sports and Spa facility which includes a Floodlit 3G Astro Turf Pitch and Spa Therapy treatment rooms.
- The Travel Academy is supported by Co-op Travel and operates as a commercial travel agents
- Polymer Training & Innovation Centre (PTIC), based at our Telford Campus is a specialist training centre for the UK polymer industry which includes a wide range of specialist machinery and is used by companies across the country.
- Lean Academy is also based at our Telford campus and provides work-based training for employees covering all sectors, from First Aid to Manufacturing.
Quality:
- We have been awarded the Training Quality Standard which recognises our commitment to delivering quality training for Apprentices and their employers
- We are a government accredited Centre of Vocational Excellence in Media and Engineering - we are recognised for delivering quality vocational training in the creative sector.
- We are a Founder College of The National Skills Academy for Creative & Cultural Skills and the college works in collaboration with the Slade Rooms, Wolverhampton’s newest live events venue.
- Our Cedars Horticultural Centre is RHS approved and many of our lecturers are multi-award winners at BBC Gardeners’ World
- All of our trainers have up-to-date industry experience
Support:
- As an Apprentice you will have a dedicated Tutor and/or Assessor to support you throughout your Apprenticeship.
- We have a dedicated Learning Support team who are available to help with a wide range of learning needs including Maths, English or language skills.
- The college has three large well-equipped Learning Centres full of everything you need to support your studies, including: free internet access, photocopying service, access to books, newspapers and journals and a quiet area for study.
