The Black Country Skills Factory Supports Engineering Training

Are you a manufacturing business located within the Black Country?

If so then the Black Country Skills Factory may contribute up to 30% towards the cost of engineering short training courses to be delivered by City of Wolverhampton College.

Very little in the way of supporting paperwork is required. Just a copy of the invoice paid and the course attendance sheet is needed before the available subsidy is paid back directly to the employer organisation.

For further details, please contact Colin Parker, Skills Factory Director at or call 07944 268709.

The Black Country Skills Factory is an employer-led project supported by funding via the UKCES, whose aim is to address the skills shortages in the High Value Manufacturing sector in the Black Country. We also offer wage subsidies for SMEs looking to take on engineering apprentices.

To be eligible you must pay your business rates to Walsall, Wolverhampton, Sandwell or Dudley local authorities.
