Care Leadership & Management Higher Apprenticeship: Student Guide

This apprenticeship is a great opportunity for you to build on and develop your skills and knowledge at a high level. It will give you a range of transferrable skills to enable you to identify ways to innovate and provide high quality care to adults.

You’ll gain sector recognised qualifications and develop specialist skills whilst working alongside experienced peers in the workplace.

The Higher Apprenticeship in Care Leadership and Management is a mix of skills development and knowledge and combines work based learning with the potential for further work related study at university. The framework can be tailored to fit your specific job role and the needs of your organisation. This means you can put into practice immediately what you learn whilst in paid employment Level

The Apprenticeship Framework

There are three main strands to an Apprenticeship, known as the Framework: a competence-based element, a technical element and a skills element.

Higher Apprenticeship: You will work towards your Level 5 Diploma in Leadership for Health and Social Care and Children and Young People’s Services. Modules include using and developing systems that promote communications, leading and managing a team within a health and social care or children and young people’s setting, safeguarding and protection of vulnerable adults and championing equality, diversity and inclusion.
