  • Not sure about what career you would like to go into in the future and want to get a taste of choices available?
  • Want to develop your work skills and improve your job prospects?
  • Keen to improve your English, maths and ICT skills?
  • If so, the Futures Pathways programme will help you to gain new skills and qualifications, meet and work with other people, and help you move onto further education or employment.

    If you already have a definite idea of which career path you would like to follow there are also specialised Pathways programmes in:

  • Sport and public services

  • Hair and beauty

  • Early years

  • What will I learn?

    By doing the course you will:

    • Develop work skills which will help you when looking for a job in the future
    • Get help to decide on your future career options and qualifications by taking part in taster sessions in a range of areas such as hair and beauty, carpentry and joinery, painting and decorating, ICT, construction, catering, early years, sport and leisure

    The programme will also include a work experience placement in a local company to further develop your job skills.

    During the course you will be supported by your tutors and will be continually assessed top ensure you are progressing satisfactorily and on target to complete the course.

    The skills you gain on the course will enable you to progress to further qualifications at college.

    What are the Entry Requirements?

    There are no entry requirements for the course, however you will be required to attend an informal interview to assess your suitability for the programme.
