Diploma in Floristry (QCF) Level 3 - (Floristry Level 3 Diploma)

Based mainly at The Cedars Horticultural Centre, this part-time course covers a varied and exciting range of practical work, from marquee and event decoration to advanced wedding and sympathy designs.

 As part of the course you will also have the opportunity to improve your ILT skills by completing simple databases and spread sheets that may be used in the floristry industry.

Entry Requirements

Candidates should have prior experience / skills at floristry level 2 and will have completed a floristry level 2 qualification.

 Candidates will need good literacy and numeracy skills i.e. the ability to read and interpret written tasks, to write answers and complete documents in a legible and understandable form and to make calculations.

Candidates will also need to be able to organise written information clearly and comprehensibly.

Candidates will be required to carry out a minimum of at least 80 hours supervised work in a floristry related business working as an intermediate florist.

How will I be assessed?

A short written exam towards the end of the qualification will test the learner’s knowledge from unit 'Working in the industry'.

What can I do next?

On successful completion of the level 3 Diploma you can further your studies at City of Wolverhampton College by studying the Level 4 Higher Diploma in Professional Floristry.
