Introduction To Floristry - (Floristry: Introduction)

A five week short course starting on the 13th June 2012 based at the Cedars Horticultural Centre on a Wednesday evening between 6.30pm – 8.30pm.

The course is ideal for learners who are really keen to learn about what is involved in floristry and who may be interested in a floristry career or job change.

Entry Requirements

There is no need to attend an interview and you can enrol over the phone by calling College direct on 01902 836000.

Course Content

You will learn the various stem types of flowers and foliage and how to look after them.
Know what tools and equipment a florist uses on a day to day basis.
Learn what a day in the life of a florist is like.
Students will make a selection of designs which include a limited flower arrangement and gift wrapping techniques including how to make a hand tied aqua packed and cocktail wrap and basic wiring methods.

A college certificate will be awarded at the end of the course.

No formal assessment for this qualification.

On successful completion of this short course you may be interested in attending other short programmes such as (Asian Bridal Flowers) or (Beginners Wedding Flowers) etc.

Additional costs

You will need to bring a pair of scissors to each session that will cut flower stems.
The course costs £75.00 plus flower materials each week.
