CREATIVE INDUSTRIES

Why take on an Apprentice?

The world’s creative economy is growing faster than the service industries and at four times the rate of manufacturing growth. To remain competitive, Creative and Cultural businesses in the UK will need to train, attract and retain the right workforce, developing skills to ensure this country stays at the forefront of artistic and business success.

Although 51% of the sector’s workforce have at least a Level 4 qualification, skills shortages still exist and employers say they are struggling to recruit new staff due to a lack of experience and specialist skills.

That’s where the Apprenticeship programme can help.

Apprentices learn on the job, working alongside experienced staff to gain job-specific skills. Off the job Apprentices receive training to work towards nationally recognised qualification, ensuring your staff are fully equipped with the knowledge and skills they need to help you maintain your competitive advantage.

Research has highlighted that employers offer Apprenticeship places because they understand the benefits that Apprentices bring to their business - increased productivity, improved competitiveness and a committed and competent work-force.
