HOSPITALITY
Why take on an Apprentice?
The Hospitality sector is one of the UK’s largest and fastest growing industries with changes taking place all the time. Customers are becoming more discerning and therefore employers need to ensure that their employees keep up with this.
But according to People 1st, over half of hospitality businesses lack chef skills and nearly 60 per cent of businesses say that their staff also lacks customer training skills.
The Apprenticeship programme can help you ensure your business has the talented, skilled people you need to get ahead.
Apprentices learn on the job, working alongside experienced staff to gain job-specific skills. Off the job Apprentices receive training to work towards nationally recognised qualifications.
Research has highlighted that employers offer Apprenticeship places because they understand the benefits that Apprentices bring to their business - increased productivity, improved competitiveness and a committed and competent work-force.
