FAQs

Employers around the UK can get top quality training for their staff across a range of subject areas at City of Wolverhampton College. The college’s Employer Services is one of the leading training providers in the Black Country and is helping employers from across the region.

Can the training be delivered at my workplace?
We aim to offer completely flexible training solutions dependent upon your business needs. We offer both training at the college and we can also deliver training in the workplace.

How much will I have to pay?
The cost of training will depend on the type of training required. We will always aim to give you the most cost effective solutions to meet the needs of your business and advise you of the funding available.

What funded training is available?
Apprenticeships are fully-funded for 16-18 year olds during 2010. New and existing employees can undertake an Apprenticeship programme.

Train to Gain is a government initiative that aims to improve and develop the skills of your employees to increase productivity so that your business will stay ahead of the competition.

City of Wolverhampton College provides a large range of fully funded or subsidised training as part of the Train to Gain scheme, so we're sure to have the right course for your business.

Do you offer any discounts for training groups of employees?
For some of our courses, our fees are tailored dependant upon the group size. Please contact our team on 01902 836000 to discuss this further.

Are your courses flexible to accommodate the work-life balance of my employees?
The courses run by City of Wolverhampton College are fully flexible to meet the requirements of your business. We offer training programmes on-site or off-site, in a group or individual tuition. We also offer a wide range of distance and e-learning courses to ensure we meet the needs of both your business and the needs of your employees.

Can you help me to decide which course is right for my employees?
Yes, a dedicated member of the team will be pleased to discuss your requirements and answer your questions and arrange an appointment to come out and see you.

How long will it take to organise the training?
Setting up training for your employees couldn't be easier. If you would like to book a place on one of our in-house short courses we can book these over the phone. If you require a bespoke training package then please do not hesitate to contact us. It will be necessary for us to arrange to visit you so that we can identify the training solutions for your business and decide what training would best suit your needs.

We are a small organisation and cannot afford the time for staff training?
This is a fairly common problem facing many smaller organisations. We have several solutions to ensure that your staff are developed with minimum disturbance.
We deliver a range of one day training programmes in a range of subjects such as Business Improvement Techniques, Health & Safety, IT and personal development programmes, to name but a few.

Our NVQ programmes are also carried out with minimum disturbance to the workforce as learners are assessed whilst doing their job. NVQs make sure your employees have the skills and knowledge to meet the company's business needs.
