ESF Train To Gain

Train to Gain qualifications are work related courses aimed at motivating employees, giving them confidence in the workplace, encouraging staff to multi skill and assisting employers to manage their organisation in an increasingly challenging economic climate

  • ESF Train to Gain is an NVQ and is aimed at employees who do not already have a Level 2 qualification
  • The NVQ is based on the employee’s job role and is delivered in the workplace
  • An NVQ assessor visits learners every 2 - 4 weeks in their working environment, taking them through their qualification
  • As ESF Train to Gain qualifications are based on an employee’s job role, there are many different NVQs available

City of Wolverhampton College currently offers NVQs in the areas listed on the left.

Each NVQ sector is managed by an industry professional who has worked in their sector for many years. Programme management includes liaising closely with employers that have introduced Train to Gain qualifications into their organisations, managing assessors and ensuring that delivery of the NVQ is of a high quality.
