HAIR & BEAUTY FACILITIES
Our Hair Training Academy, run in partnership with the award-winning Francesco Group, has 32 client work stations where students offer professional cuts, colours and perms to paying customers – under the supervision of specialised teaching staff – using Wella and Avlon styling and finishing products
And our two beauty salons each have eight curtained treatment cubicles where our students offer a range of treatments to clients – including facials, massages, manicures, pedicures, waxing and spray tanning – at competitive prices.
HOSPITALITY & CATERING FACILITIES
Whether you want to cook up a great career as a professional chef, have a front of house role in a restaurant or produce tempting bread and cakes in a bakery, the hospitality and catering training facilities at our Metro One campus will help you to develop the skills you need for a great career in your chosen industry.
Our professional training kitchen has separate preparation areas for starters, main courses, vegetables and desserts and is equipped with industry-standard catering ovens, a new smoking cabinet for fish and hams, an ice-cream maker and a bratt pan for the production of classic dishes and sauces.
The kitchen overlooks our very own 36-seater licensed restaurants where paying customers can watch you at work while they tuck-in to the meals you have prepared, all professionally served by our hospitality students. .
Next to the kitchen is our bakery, equipped with a four-deck industry-standard bread oven, a range of professional table-top and floor standing mixers, dough provers, bun dividers, and a donut machine – all the equipment you need to turn out a range of freshly baked bread and cakes which are sold every day to customers in our popular on-site bakery shop.
