A show garden for Gardeners World Live, June 2006 |
||
Multipli-City... a garden celebration of city living in a new 21st Century city, reflecting the industrial and cultural heritage of Wolverhampton from the 19th Century through to the present time. This is the theme for the 2006 show garden that was constructed by staff and students from the City of Wolverhampton College's, Cedars Horticultural Centre for the BBC Gardeners World Live Show in June 2006. This was not the first time the Cedars have constructed a show garden at a BBC show. In 1999 students helped construct the 'Dragon Makers Yard', which won a silver gilt medal. In 2000 they produced a garden that gave a vision of the future as it could be if people do not heed the environmental concerns of today (the BIOME), also awarded a silver by the Royal Horticultural Society. Both gardens featured in the BBC programme Gardeners World. |
