Garden Proposal
The garden will
- Celebrate city living in a new City.
- Reflect the industrial heritage of Wolverhampton in materials
used and in locating the garden in a typical terraced house,
distinctive of workers housing at the time the Dutch garden
was built
- Echo cultural influences from the diversity of races and
cultures living and working in Wolverhampton from 1850 to the
present to reflect the diversity of Wolverhampton 's' population
- Be a showcase for excellence in vocational learning at all
levels through working in partnership with the City of Wolverhampton
College and the City Council
Content
The garden will;
- Provide a relaxed environment
- Provide year round interest in planting and structure
- Have low maintenance need, in terms of planting and materials
used
- Use the existing brick garden wall of the garden space
- Planting will fit the microclimate produced in a walled garden
- The garden is to be viewed from a side alley way and from
above, there is no ground floor view of the garden from the
house.
