What is it?

This qualification underpins that you have the skills you need to provide effective specialist support to engineering products with an NVQ in Technical Support. This qualification is covers essential areas like safety, managing data, correct control of documentation and efficient work practices.

Who Should Attend

This qualification is primarily aimed at those working in a Technical Service function within a variety of business sectors. You should be currently providing specialist support to products and services in a technical environment, in a role such as CAD draughtsman, measurement and control technician or quality control inspector. You should have already some knowledge and skills in the industry.

Course duration and structure

The course is delivered on the company premises.
The qualification consists of three module units that are continuously assessed over a period of approximately 6 to 12 months dependant on the role. Assessment is based on competence levels and underpinning knowledge gained through portfolio building.


Entry Requirements

There are no formal qualification entry requirements, however candidates should be currently in an employed position where they are engaged in Technical Support activities.

Course Outcome - Related Business Benefits and Candidate Progression

The candidate will receive a Technical Support NVQ (Diploma) following successful completion of the qualification.
