Recent developments - Richard Burbidge and Botany Bay Leisure Complex
Team Leader and Management development workshops are currently underway at Richard Burbidge in Oswestry as part of the continued support from the Lean Academy to help develop and up skill their current workforce. The workshops are designed and delivered on site ensuring that all involved are able to maximise ,apply and reflect on their own development within their roles and review with their Senior Managers and how they can further develop and improve themselves and the Company.
Botany Bay Leisure Complex in Lancashire have recently been in partnership with the Lean Academy on a series of workplace continuous improvement initiatives which has helped the company improve customer satisfaction and focus on improving their Quality, Cost and Delivery by empower-in the employees , regardless of responsibilities, to forward and focus on initiatives to embrace the concept of Continuous Improvements within the retail sector.
"The Business impact was immediate as the teams gelled and they began to focus and prioritise the key issues for the benefit of the Business."
Transforming Business Improvement through Knowledge Transfer
Since opening its doors in 2005 the Lean Academy's approach to business improvement has been based on the development of long term partnerships. Working with companies to develop the knowledge base required to ensure that the Continuous Improvement initiatives that are undertaken are built on solid ground are success to date is based not on what "we do to you" but on what "we do with you". This simple but critical difference is the reason we are so successful in our field.
"... now the team feel confident to lead their own improvement projects, and a platform to develop ideas for improvement has been established within the company ..."
The simplest approach to Continuous Improvement from the perspective of the outside body is to come into the business, be told where the perceived short comings are take the required remedial actions and go. This approach is short sighted and unsustainable.
The Lean Academy's approach is to join with the business, work together to establish the actual issues and not the perceived that are affecting the company, then work together as a team to solve these problems ensure that there is a robust transfer of knowledge thereby producing sustainable results.
This approach has been shown to work across all sectors of business from Manufacturing to Construction the Health Service and now into Retail, HR and Sales.
What our clients say:
"... the improvement activity was initially greeted with a fair amount of skepticism within the target area ... but now the team feel confident to lead their own improvement projects, and a platform to develop ideas for improvement has been established within the company ..."
"We wanted to involve employees who manage business processes on a daily basis in this change. We've had some excellent feedback from people who feel more involved and that they have a better working environment as a result of this training and development."
