Learning Support at City of Wolverhampton College - how do we support learners?
City of Wolverhampton College believes that everyone should be able to gain access to the college and have the opportunity to learn effectively to the best of their ability, to enable them to complete a qualification.
To make sure we provide the highest standards of support and inclusiveness, our Learning Support Team are experienced and dedicated people whose aim is to meet the individual needs of all our students.
If you have a learning difficulty, a sensory impairment, or a physical disability, we will plan with you the support and reasonable adjustments that you need so that you can attend and achieve on your course at City of Wolverhampton College.
Our service has a growing reputation and we're delighted to work with key organisations such as RNIB, RNID, Mind, Keytools and REMPLOY.
Who are the Learning Support Team and what do we do?
In the Team there are:
- Learning Support Specialists
- Support Workers
- Communication Support Workers
- Specialist Teachers and Assessors for learners with specific learning difficulties
We provide:
- Support to students linked to assessment of your needs
- Access to specialist support
- Maths Workshop
- Study Skills
- Assistive Technology including Read and Write Gold, Mind Genius, Supernova, Jaws and Zoomtext
