music students host music event

Wolverhampton City Show will be getting a musical twist, with the help of talented students from City of Wolverhampton College.

Students on the HND Live Sound and Events course will be hosting the Acoustic Stage at the show, which takes place this Saturday and Sunday at Dunstall Park Racecourse.

Visitors to the weekend extravaganza will be able to enjoy musical talent from across the region, as well as performances from the students themselves.

Lecturer Jo Slater said: “The stage has been organised as part of the students’ course work and is a great opportunity for them to put into practice everything they have learnt. Not only have they been responsible for the sourcing of the acts and programming of events, they will also be running the sound and lighting for the show and setting up and packing down the equipment each day.”

The stage will be running from 11am to 6pm on both days, with information on music and performing arts courses at the college also available.
