CHRISTMAS CRAFTS ON SALE AT COLLEGE

Christmas crackers

Christmas cards and crackers made by students with learning disabilities will be on sale at City of Wolverhampton College next week.

Eight students who are on a Futures programme at the college’s Wellington Road campus will be holding the Christmas sale on Tuesday December 6, 10am-3pm.

All items on offer – including Christmas stockings, candle holders and jars of sweets – have been made by the students who have also collected items for a festive hamper which will be raffled off in aid of The Beacon Centre for the Blind.

Paula Van Ommeren, high needs provision manager at the college, said: “The students used a range of practical skills to make the Christmas goods and are very much looking forward to setting up their stall and selling them to customers next week.”
