CHRISTMAS MEALS AT COLLEGE RESTAURANT FILLING UP FAST!

26th September 2018

The Christmas menu at City of Wolverhampton College’s popular training restaurant has been announced – with almost 200 reservations already made and some dates fully booked.

Students studying for catering and hospitality qualifications at the college’s city centre Metro One campus will be dishing up festive lunches and evening meals in the on-site Academy restaurant from December 5 until December 20.

The three-course lunch menu costs £15 per person and will be available on Wednesdays and Thursdays throughout the period, with a three-course dinner, priced at £20, served on Thursday evenings.

Diners can indulge in the traditional favourites of prawn cocktail, roast turkey and Christmas pudding, as well as broccoli and stilton soup, slow cooked pork belly, beef bourguignon, sole veronique, roasted beetroot and butternut squash tart, triple chocolate mousse and festive berry bavarois.

Nicky Doherty, professional cookery tutor at the college, said: “Once again our festive menu is proving extremely popular with diners and as the restaurant is in the city centre it’s an ideal location for office Christmas lunches.

“It will be a busy time for our students but they will gain valuable experience of working in a city centre restaurant during the festive season which will look good on their CVs when they are applying for jobs in the industry when they have completed their qualifications.”

The 46-seater restaurant has a fully-licensed bar and a large viewing window so diners can watch students at work in the kitchen.  To view the Christmas menu click here  and to book a table call 01902 821431.
