COLLEGE COFFEE MORNINGS DISH UP CASH FOR CHARITY

Macmillan coffee morning

Charity coffee mornings organised by students at City of Wolverhampton College raised £375 for Macmillan Cancer Support.

The events were organised as part of the charity’s World’s Biggest Coffee Morning on Friday, September 29.

Students with learning disabilities raised £270 by selling drinks and cakes to customers in the Futures café  which they run at the Wellington Road campus,

Meanwhile, a sale of cakes, biscuits and pastries made by bakery students at the Metro One campus netted a further £105, and they also baked a range of mouthwatering cakes for a coffee morning held at the Park View Hotel in Park Road West.

The Futures café is open to the public from 10am-12.30pm on Mondays, Tuesdays and Fridays, and the Academy bakery from Monday to Friday, 10am-2pm.
