COLLEGE LAUNCHES NEW MANAGEMENT SCHEME FOR GRADUATES

9th January 2018

A new management training scheme for graduates has been launched by City of Wolverhampton College.

The in-house graduate programme is aimed at young people who want to work in the further education sector in a management, leadership or teaching role.

The two-year full-time programme offers management training in information systems, IT or estates management, as well as opportunities for those who want to become lecturers in IT or the electronics, electrical and engineering area.

Successful applicants will follow an individual learning programme and receive work-based training from qualified college staff, as well as have the opportunity to study for relevant professional qualifications as part of the scheme. They will also benefit from a salary of £24,286 per annum along with a generous holiday allowance of up to 40 days per year.

Karen O’Reilly, assistant principal for human resources at the college, said: “We are looking for ambitious and motivated graduates who have a passion for education and the impact it has on individual lives, as well as a thirst for continual learning and professional development.

“Through the scheme they will learn how the college operates, work alongside existing experienced staff, and gain further qualifications which will prepare them for leadership roles in the organisation in the future.”

The scheme is open to graduates with at least a 2:1 degree in a related subject, and applications must be received by Monday, 5 February.
