COLLEGE RESTAURANT RE-OPENS FOR NEW TERM
The training restaurant at City of Wolverhampton College re-opens next week with a new intake of students cooking up a range of delicious meals for diners.
The popular Academy restaurant – at the college’s Metro One campus in the city centre – will be open to the public from October 11 with lunch available each week from Tuesday to Friday and dinner served on Thursday evenings.
All meals are prepared, cooked and served by students studying for diplomas in professional cookery and food and beverage service with lunches costing from £7 to £8.50 and three course evening meals priced at just £12.
Heath Arnfield, curriculum manager for catering at the college, said: “The students have settled well into their courses and are looking forward to using their skills to prepare and serve a range of delicious meals for our customers.
“Whilst some of the students were with us last year and have returned to progress to the next level of study, others are completely new to catering so the experience of working in a busy professional kitchen will prepare them for their future careers in the industry.”
