COMPANY DONATE KITCHEN SUPPLIES TO COLLEGE
Students from City of Wolverhampton College are putting their trade skills to the test thanks to a donation of kitchen supplies from a local business.
Howdens Joinery in Bushbury, Wolverhampton, has given the college’s construction block at Wellington Road Campus a range of discontinued stock to help with students’ practical lessons.
The equipment, which includes kitchen doors, cabinets and skirting boards will be used by carpentry and joinery students as they put their skills into practice.
Curriculum Manager Joel Dalhouse said: “We are very grateful to Howdens for their generous donation, which will give our students the opportunity to do work that reflects real life and gain experience that will be invaluable to them in their journey to becoming qualified carpenters and joiners.”
Howdens Manager Claire Griffin said: “We look forward to working with up and coming tradesmen and women at the college.”
