Performing Arts dance showcase

Dance students from City of Wolverhampton College are preparing to leap into action when they take part in their annual dance showcase.

The 45 students, who are all studying a range of performing arts courses, will be showcasing their skills in “District 21”, at the college’s Paget Road campus on February 10 and 11.

The performance features a wide range of pieces, including ballet numbers, acrobatics, contemporary dance and jazz. Each piece will explore a Dystopian soundtrack, film or character.

Lecturer Tanya Long said: “The students have come up with some really creative and exciting ideas. We have some very talented performers and the show promises to be a great night out.”

Doors open at 7pm, with the show starting at 7.30pm.

Tickets, costing £3 each, are available from Paget Road reception.

The college is now holding auditions for performing arts courses starting in September. For more information ring 01902 836000 or visit
