Hairdressing apprentices are taking part in Britain's Best

Apprentices from City of Wolverhampton College will be pitching their skills against some of the country’s best stylists when they take part in a national hairdressing competition.

Chloe Hart, aged 17, Chloe Brough, 16, and Emily Parkes, 16, who all work at Jane James @Evergreen Hairdressers in Wolverhampton, will be taking part in Britain’s Best on Sunday 15th November at the Heritage Motor Centre in Gaydon, Warwickshire.

The trio, who combine their work with studying for their hair qualifications at college, have been preparing for months for the contest.

Chloe Hart will be testing her skills in the bridal category, Chloe Brough will be featuring in the Night Out division while Emily will be attempting a winning blow dry.

Owner Jane James said: “Our apprentices are our future stylists and it’s lovely to see them take part in these competitions, grow in confidence and really blossom.”

Britain’s Best, run by the National Hairdressers’ Federation is now in its fourth year. The competition is open to juniors, trainees and newcomers as well as the seasoned professional.
