HIGH FLYING STUDENTS LAND JOBS IN INDUSTRY
High flying travel students from City of Wolverhampton College are celebrating after landing jobs in the industry.
Several students, who are all on the Travel and Tourism Level 3 course based at the Wellington Road Campus have secured their dream jobs – which will see them travelling all over the world.
Eighteen-year-old Megan Griffiths and Danielle Grimston, 19, are both looking forward to working as cabin crew with Monarch Airlines while Jennifer Cole, 19, has been offered a job as an Airport Representative for Thomas Cook in Cyprus.
Megan said: ““I’m really excited to have got a job as cabin crew with Monarch, and it’s all thanks to the college – without the tutors pushing me and supporting me to go for all the interviews I would never have got there.”
Jennifer added: “I can’t wait to see what the world has to offer!”
Two other students are waiting to hear back from Monarch while six are moving on to Higher Education.
Lecturer Wendy Harris said: “I’m delighted that so many of our students have secured jobs within the travel industry. We aim to offer our students the skills they need to embark on rewarding careers and their success is testament to that.”
