Proud home owners can learn how to renovate their houses thanks to a series of new courses being run at City of Wolverhampton College.

The college is running a number of short, evening courses to help people keen to carry out DIY jobs themselves.

These include a 10 week How to Lay Bricks qualification, which will prepare students for building garden walls and barbecues, and a How to Wallpaper course.

For those more interested in maintaining their car the How to Keep your Car Running course could help save money on expensive routine maintenance jobs. Topics include changing bulbs, checking fluid levels and safely jacking the car.

Head of the School of Technology Andrew Cartwright said: “These courses have been designed for the DIY beginner who is looking to keep their home looking the way they want it to, without having to pay costly tradesmen.”
