Plastics companies from across the country will be able to find out about the latest innovations in the polymer industry at a free one day event next week.

The Polymer Training and Innovation Centre (PTIC) in Telford is hosting its ‘Technivation’ event on March 31 to showcase the latest technology aimed at improving process efficiency and reducing cost.

The day will include a series of technically-focused presentations and a range of live demonstrations from companies involved in leading edge manufacturing techniques.

Presentations will be given by Kistler Instruments, Arburg and Fanuc on topics such as: cavity pressure monitoring and control, holistic approaches to reducing unit costs and the energy efficiency of all-electric machines.

Georgina Parker, Director of PTIC said: “This is the third year we have run Technivation, with each one being more popular than the last. Due to the continued pressure on organisations to reduce costs, we know our customers are always keen to hear about the latest innovations within the industry.”

Also presenting will be Summit Systems and Sumitomo Demag.

Representatives from Isocool, Piovan, Yudo-Suns UK, HB Therm, the University of Wolverhampton and Mettler Toledo will also be present to provide practical demonstrations on topics discussed.

The event takes place at PTIC, Stafford Park 4, Telford, on March 31 between 10am and 4pm. (Lunch will be provided.)
