Employers can find out how their business can benefit from a government scheme enabling them to fund more apprentices by joining a webinar hosted by City of Wolverhampton College next month.

The webinar will be broadcast on Friday, 9 March and is open to large businesses with a pay bill over £3 million each year, that are subject to the new apprenticeship levy.

Those listening in will be able to find out about how to make the most of their contributions to the new scheme by recruiting new apprentices or up-skilling existing staff, as well as the range of training offered by the college and the support it provides to recruit suitable applicants for employers.

The online session will be hosted by college staff Rachael Burns, sales director for apprenticeships, and Graham Taylor, employer contracts manager.

Ms Burns said “The webinar will give managers from large organisations the opportunity to find out more about the benefits of the government levy and how the college is working with local companies to improve skills across the city and the wider Black Country.”

The webinar will run from 10am to 11am and employers can register by clicking here
