Valentine's Meal

Romantic types can treat their special someone to a Valentine’s meal lovingly prepared by students at City of Wolverhampton College.

Learners studying for professional cookery qualifications will be dishing up a heart-warming three-course feast in the Academy restaurant at the Metro One campus on Thursday, 16 February.

Couples can gaze into each other’s eyes as they tuck in to cheese soufflé, crab and citrus salad or crispy duck forks, followed by lobster thermidor, lamb steak with pea hummus, chicken provencal, or a leek, goats cheese, walnut and lemon tart.

And to round off the evening diners can indulge in chocolate fondant, churros served with three sauces, or poached pears in wine.

Helen Seall, cookery tutor at the college, said: “The week of Valentine’s Day is a popular time for eating out and the evening will give students experience of working in a popular city centre restaurant at a busy time of year, as well as using the skills they are learning on their courses to serve up a romantic treat for customers.”

The Valentine’s menu costs £15 and tables can be booked by calling the Academy restaurant on 01902 821431
