NEW SEWING CLASS LAUNCHED FOR BEGINNERS

29th June 2018

People of all ages who want to get creative or learn a new hobby are being encouraged to sign up for a new sewing class that has been launched in the city.

City of Wolverhampton College has introduced the exciting 10 week to help people of all ages learn more about fashion and dressmaking.

Students will be taught by Codsall dressmaker Becci Bayliss from Fabric Bunny and will pick up a range of techniques involving zips, buttonholes, sleeves, hems and seems.

They will also start their own garment and pick up a Level 1 qualification in Art, Design and Media (Fashion and Textiles).

Curriculum Manager Jo Slater said: “If you feel intimidated by sewing machines, would like to know how to repair clothes rather than throw them away or even learn how to make your own garments, then this fun and friendly course is a great starting point.”
