FIND OUT ABOUT NEW YEAR COURSES AT COLLEGE OPEN DAY
Information on part-time courses starting in January and how to earn while you learn is on offer at an open day at City of Wolverhampton College next month.
The college’s three main campuses – Paget Road in Compton, Wellington Road in Bilston and Metro One in the city centre – will be open on Saturday, 14 January from 10am to 2pm to give people the chance to talk to staff about the best routes into their chosen careers.
Tutors will be on-hand with details of part-time programmes starting later in the month including barbering, java programming, leadership and management, motor vehicle, reflexology and sport, as well as English and maths courses and qualifications in engineering, teaching and education, and creative arts such as singing and acting, interior design, and pottery.
Visitors can also find out about the popular apprenticeship scheme which enables people to combine working for an employer with studying for a recognised qualification at college, and get details of vacancies for apprentices at companies in the local area.
Those attending can apply for their chosen course whilst at the event, have an interview with a member of the college’s admissions team and, subject to entry criteria, leave with the offer of a place to start their qualification later in the month.
