POPULAR COLLEGE RESTAURANT RE-OPENS FOR NEW TERM
The Academy restaurant at City of Wolverhampton College re-opens next month with a new intake of students cooking up a range of delicious lunches and evening meals for diners.
The popular restaurant – at the college’s Metro One campus in the city centre – will be open to the public from October 12 offering lunch from Tuesday to Friday and dinner on Thursday evenings, with all meals cooked and served by students studying for diplomas in professional cookery and food and beverage service.
Lunch costs £7 for two courses or £8.50 for three courses, whilst a three course evening meal is priced at just £12.
The 46-seater restaurant has a fully licensed bar and a large viewing window so that diners can watch students at work in the kitchen.
Heath Arnfield, curriculum manager for catering at the college, said: “Our new students, as well as those who studied with us last year and have returned to progress to their next level of qualification, have settled well into their courses and are very much looking forward to the restaurant re-opening and showing customers how they are developing the skills needed for careers in the catering industry.
“The restaurant was extremely popular last year with almost 3000 bookings for lunch and dinner and due to its growing popularity and convenient location in the city centre we are sure that the number will be even higher this year.”
