Student artwork on show

Art and crafts by students from City of Wolverhampton College has gone on show in Bilston.

Around 15 students who are on an Essential Skills course at the college, are exhibiting their work at Bilston Craft Gallery until May 23.

Visitors to the gallery will be able to view abstract images in the college corporate colours of purple and teal, as well as buy handmade jewellery designed by the group.

The necklaces, bracelets and earrings, which start from £1, are being sold to raise cash for Cannock-based New Life Foundation for Disabled Children.

Lecturer Bea Pope said: “Students worked extremely hard on the design and planning of this exhibition, which is a reflection of their commitment to supporting this charity.

Bilston Craft Gallery is open Tuesday to Saturday. For more information ring 01902 552507.
