Sporty students from across the Midlands descended on City of Wolverhampton College this March to show of their skills in a regional volleyball contest.

Students from Dudley College and BMET joined teams from the college for the volleyball festival, which took place at the Community Sports Centre at the Wellington Road campus on March 24.

The event, which attracted around 25 young people, was officiated by students from Public Services, Travel and Sports courses.

Tutor Alex Morris said: “The event was organised to encourage more young people to get fit and active. Volleyball is a sport which anyone can take part in once you know the basics, so it was an ideal tournament to organise to promote exercise and physical activity among our students.”
