Students in Sports Boost
Students from City of Wolverhampton College are learning the skills they need to help encourage more people to take up sport.
A total of 24 students on the BTEC Diploma in Sport have taken part in a one day Multi Sport training course which will enable them to volunteer as coaches out in the community.
As part of the course the group looked at the fundamentals of coaching, based around agility, balance and coordination.
Curriculum Manager Dan Clarke said: “Completing the course will give students the opportunity to gain work experience and boost their CVs, as well as act as sports ambassadors in their area by taking an active role in the development, instruction and training of local teams.”
City of Wolverhampton College offers a range of courses for people living in Wolverhampton, Bilston, Walsall, Dudley, Halesowen, Stourbridge, Bridgnorth, Sandwell and the wider West Midlands area.
