STUDENTS JET OFF FOR ITALIAN ADVENTURE

9th February 2018

Creative Arts students from City of Wolverhampton College will be enjoying a taste of Italy when they jet off for work experience in sunnier climes.

Sixteen students studying a range of Creative Arts courses are travelling to Florence on February 11 to work in companies geared towards their future career goals.

During their fortnight’s stay the group will learn about Italian culture while working for recording studios, production companies, magazines and arts organisations.

Student Projects Officer Lucy Bennett said: “This is a unique opportunity for students to gain vital professional experience while immersing themselves in a completely different culture.

“The fact they return with international experience to put on their CV will be of huge benefit when applying for jobs.”

The trip has been organised through the Erasmus+ scheme which enables students and organisations across Europe to work together to improve and develop skills in the future workforce.

The college has gained Erasmus+ funding worth £293,000 to continue running its Erasmus+ programmes until 2019, and plans to send 150 young people to Florence and Braga on work experience over the next two years.
