Students Pick up Tips from the Experts
Students from City of Wolverhampton College picked up tips from the experts when they were visited by a local entrepreneur.
Around 45 business students from Levels 1, 2 and 3 listened to Vicki Phipps, founder and director of Mindful Gifts, talk about her journey to business success.
Work Placement Supervisor at the college Steve Preston said: “We are very grateful to Vicki for giving up her time to share her story with students. Hearing her talk was incredibly inspirational for our students and shows what they can achieve if they put their minds to it.”
“It is vital for young people to get an insight into business and we are always looking to work with companies large and small to provide work related input and work experience.”
Mindful Gifts provides a range of gifts and activities suitable for older people and people with dementia. It recently won Social Enterprise West Midlands’ SE Potential award for its promising future.
