Talented students from City of Wolverhampton College pitted their paint brushes against each other when they took part in a sign writing competition.

A total of eight students who are all on the Level 1 painting and decorating course battled it out to create the best logo for leading global adhesive tape manufacturers Tesa, who sponsored the challenge.

Top spot went to Luca Nunnerley, age 19, who received a toolbox bundle full of different masking tapes from TESA.

The budding decorators had just over three hours to create the sign, using Tesa masking tape to create a professional look.

Tutor Ljubiša Bogdanović said: “This competition provided a great platform for the learners to display the knowledge and skills they have amassed in this academic year.

“Not only will it look great on their CV but it helped challenge them and learn new skills.”
