Student Celebration

The achievements and successes of hundreds of students at City of Wolverhampton College will be celebrated at a presentation ceremony at Wolverhampton Racecourse on Thursday (July 7).

Over 400 students from every college department are due to attend the event and will be presented with certificates of achievement by Claire Boliver, principal of the college, in front of their family, friends and tutors.

There will also be presentations of Student of the Year and Head of School awards for those who have achieved outstanding success in individual subject areas.

Claire said: “This has been yet another successful year for the college and, once again, all of our students should be proud of their commitment to learning and to acquiring the skills and knowledge that will impress employers and lead to great future careers.

“Whether they are leaving us to go to university or take up a new job, or returning next year to continue their qualifications, the event is an opportunity for everyone at the college to congratulate them on their success and wish them the very best for the future.

As part of the celebrations, performing arts students will be entertaining the audience with a showstopping medley of hits from their end of term show When I Grow Up, based on Roald Dahl’s Matilda.
