STUDENTS TAKE CENTRE STAGE IN DANCE SHOW

Performing Arts students

Talented students from City of Wolverhampton College are preparing to take centre stage in their annual dance show.

Around 45 Performing Arts students will be dazzling the audience in ‘Pay & Display’ at the college’s Paget Road campus on February 15 and 16.

The production explores the concept of driving, with hard hitting dance pieces looking at issues such as drink driving and texting while driving, mixed in with more light hearted compositions.

The showcase features a range of dance styles including contemporary, street, physical theatre and combat.

Lecturer Tanya Long said: “The students have had just a week to put together and practice this show.

“We’re extremely fortunate to have such a talented group of students and it promises to be an exceptional performance.”

Doors open at 7pm, with the show starting at 7.30pm.

Tickets, costing £3 each, are available from Paget Road reception.

The college is now holding auditions for performing arts courses starting in September. For more information ring 01902 836000 or click here
