Drama students star in musical

Talented students from City of Wolverhampton College are preparing to take centre stage when they perform in their end of year musical.

More than 30 students from a range of performing arts courses will be appearing in When I Grow Up, at the Paget Road Campus, on June 29-July 1.

They have spent six weeks working on the musical, which is based on Roald Dahl’s Matilda.

Student Kelsie Ward, age 16, said: “It’s a really high energy show that will blow your socks off!”

Lecturer Tanya Long added: “This musical gives students from all year groups a chance to work together and combine their talents to produce a really professional show. They have all worked incredibly hard and can’t wait for the opening performance.”

Doors open at 2pm for a 2.30pm start and 7pm for a 7.30pm start. Matinee performances are free. Tickets for evening performances cost £5 and are available on the door.
