Drama students take to stage

Talented students from City of Wolverhampton College are treading the boards this month in a modern remake of a Shakespearean classic.

The Performing Arts students are putting on Rosencrantz & Guildenstern Are Dead at the Paget Road Campus on April 21.

A total of 14 actors will be taking part in the Tom Stoppard drama, which tells the tale of Hamlet from the point of view of minor characters in Shakespeare’s play.

Lecturer Ruth Gavin said: “This witty and challenging play is a quirky take on a well known classic, and is sure to entertain. The students have all worked incredibly hard and are looking forward to showing off their skills in front of members of the public.”

Doors open at 7pm for a 7.30pm starts. Tickets, costing £3 each, are available on the door.

The college is currently enrolling for next year’s performing arts courses. For more information ring 01902 834273 or click here to apply.
