TASTES OF THE WORLD ON MENU AT COLLEGE RESTAURANT

17th April 2018

Dishes from across the world will be on the menu at two themed evenings organised by catering and hospitality students at City of Wolverhampton College.

Students studying for diplomas in professional cookery and food and beverage service will be cooking up three-course meals from Asia and Italy in the college’s popular Academy training restaurant next month.

An Asian Fusion evening takes place on May 3 with dishes on offer including lamb kofta with chilli mint salsa, Thai prawn curry with banana and cucumber salsa, or garlic chickpeas and mushrooms, followed by Thai green curry, beef teriyaki noodles or paneer curry with yellow rice, and a selection of Asian desserts.

The menu for the Italian evening on May 25 includes duck breast salad, seafood skewers or grilled halloumi starters, main courses of chicken stuffed with chorizo, mozzarella and spinach, traditional lasagne or spaghetti with spiral vegetable ratatouille, and desserts including tiramisu and chocolate coconut tart

The themed meals cost £13.95 per head and tables are available from 6.30pm with last orders at 6.45pm.

The Academy restaurant – at the Metro One campus in the city centre – is also open for lunch from Monday to Thursday during term time. For reservations call the restaurant on 01902 821431.
