TOP INDUSTRY QUALIFICATION FOR HAIRDRESSING TUTOR
A hairdressing tutor at City of Wolverhampton College is celebrating after gaining an internationally recognised industry qualification.
Zoe Feledziak, aged 28, a tutor at the college’s hair training academy in the city centre, has become a Wella Master Colour Expert after completing an intense professional training programme.
The indepth course – which Zoe completed over a two-year period, during which she also had a baby – covers all aspects of hair colouring including the science of hair, chemistry of colour, psychology and emotion of colouring and legal considerations.
Zoe, who did her hairdressing apprenticeship training at the college in 2006 and has been a tutor there since 2013, said; “This programme is something I’ve wanted to do since I became a hairdresser and, as a tutor, it’s even more important to me as if I’m at the top of my game then my students will be too.
“I’ve enthused about what I’ve learnt on the course so much that some of my current students have said that they’d like to do the same qualification in a few years time, which is a great aspiration to have so early in their careers.”
Zoe’s success means that there are now three Wella Master Colour Experts working at the college’s hair training academy as salon manager Graham Thompson and hairdressing tutor Jo Fitzpatrick also have the acclaimed qualification.
As well as training the next generation of hairdressers Zoe and Graham are also stylists in the salon and appointments with them can be booked by calling the hair training academy on 01902 821321.
