Industrial Leaders
of the futureYoung people in Shropshire are learning how to become the industrial leaders of the future, thanks to a new scheme being run at the Polymer Training and Innovation Centre (PTIC).
The training centre, in Telford, is helping youngsters into employment through a new “Pathways to Apprenticeships” project in conjunction with City of Wolverhampton College
A total of six delegates aged between 17 and 20 are currently on the scheme, which aims to give them the basic skills and knowledge required to go on to complete a full Apprenticeship.

Recruitment Day
Hailed A SuccessHundreds of jobseekers are expected to descend on City of Wolverhampton College when it hosts a jobs and training event this September.
The college is holding the seasonal recruitment event at its Wellington Road Campus, Bilston, on Friday September 10.
At last year’s event almost 1,500 people queued around the block to try and secure one of 400 seasonal posts on offer, and staff are expecting a similar turnout this year.

The college picked up the Community and Social Cohesion award at the Leading the Learner Voice awards, which were held in London in July.
