Teddy Bears at the Ready for Charity Picnic
Students at City of Wolverhampton College brought their fuzzy friends into class this June when they took part in a teddy bears picnic for charity.
Childcare and sports students joined forces at the lunchtime event to raise cash for the Prostrate Cancer Charity.
More than 200 people, plus teddies, enjoyed their sandwiches in the sunshine, with prizes for the best dressed bear.
Organiser and Sports Lecturer Melva Guy said: “Prostate cancer is on the increase in younger men at the moment and we thought it would be a great idea to raise awareness of the illness while also celebrating the end of term.”
Early Years Programme Tutor Annie Pendrey added: “We had a great response from students and have raised £50 for this worthwhile charity.”
Students also enjoyed singing and dancing competitions and a guess the name of the teddy competition.
