College Gets Award For Staff Training
City of Wolverhampton College has been recognised for its work in boosting the numeracy skills of staff.
The college has been awarded the CPD standard for mathematics work by The National Centre for Excellence in the Teaching of Mathematics (NCETM).
The standard is a guarantee to workers continuing their professional development that they will receive top quality teaching.
Teaching and Learning Advisor Gill Biel said: “We are delighted to receive this award, which acknowledges that as providers we abide to the principles of high standards of delivery, our forms of delivery are appropriate and well delivered and procedures are in place for evaluation.”
The NCETM supports the professional development of teachers of mathematics through an extensive online learning community and a network of regional coordinators. It is funded by the Department for Education and is managed by Tribal Education Ltd.
