ESOL Enrolments

English Language students descended on Paget Road campus this July to enrol on one of the college’s popular ESOL courses.

The English for Speakers of Other Languages course aims to improve English language skills to help make day-to-day life in Britain easier.

Vice Principal Bhanu Dhir said: “This is the college’s response to the government challenge of encouraging visitors to Wolverhampton to learn English.

“We hold special open days for ESOL students every year, and were delighted to that around 170 learners enrolled last week – highlighting how important this course is to the local community.”

The college has around 450 students studying ESOL each year, many of whom study at the Newhampton Centre campus, although classes are offered at some community locations.

Those under 19 can take advantage of a full time ESOL course at the Wellington Road campus.
