Polymer Training and Innovation Centre Launches Website

The Polymer Training and Innovation Centre (PTIC), the UK’s newest training academy for the Polymer Industry, has announced the launch of its website.

The website, at www.wolvcoll.ac.uk/polymer, enables companies to keep up-to-date with the latest events and other news at the Telford-based centre, which was formed by City of Wolverhampton College following the collapse of Polymer Training Limited (PTL) last year.

The website provides details of how support available through the PTIC can improve efficiency levels and reduce none value added operations within polymer manufacturing companies. A 2010 course schedule can be downloaded together with details of consultancy services and funding opportunities currently available.

The college stepped in to plug the gap created in polymer training and support services when PTL was placed into administration in October 2009, purchasing various pieces of practical processing machinery including injection and blow moulding together with all intellectual property and learning materials associated with PTL’s course portfolio.

Their new centre, which is based at their Stafford Park Campus, is expected to be operational next month. Course details for April are available online.

For more information about the centre please contact Charmaine on 01952 610101 or email PTIC@wolvcoll.ac.uk
